 Two things happened today which need my commitment to written word. First, following my failure of social grace at work yesterday I spent several hours of reflection upon how to apologize to my fellow employee Felix. I had injected myself into a conversation he was having with another employee, about yet a third employee. It angered Felix and after sleeping on it and thinking about I came to the realization that I have been self-absorbed and rudely injected myself into Felix's conversation. Completely failing to recognize his private space. Failing to hold my opinions until a time and place where I could voice them to the other employee, to whom they pertained. I am ashamed and hoping to ask Felix formally for his forgiveness.  Secondly this comes upon this 8th day of April 2026 which I realize is just two weeks past what would have been the 50th anniversary of the first marriage I entered with Eileen McAfee-Kendig.   I don't usually promote myself, but I am standing up For Democracy. This face was known to Richard Nixon, as he saw it in 1960 at Ridgewood, N,J, as he almost stepped on me as he left his campaign rally running against John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Buzz Aldrin saw it as he sat on a flat-bed truck at Oshkosh Wisconsin talking questions from the audience of only 100 hundred or so. Bill and Hillary Clinton may have seen both of us, as we appear here, as we listened to them in Youngstown, Ohio campaigning on Healthcare. President Obama and Michelle Obama did not see us, but, he shot basketballs on my home court, Indiana University, and owes me a game.  This Christmas we had a lot of quiet reflections about Christ and his coming with the message to love one-another. I as I drifted off to sleep I thought of all the forces in the world working against such a philosophy, and I rested in Jesus' words, "wherever two or more are gathered, there I am. To see that it it good."  With my wife, my lover, my partner Christine beside me I slept.  This day after Christmas I think of how few people I am connected to closely in Christ, with whom I can be one of the two gathered together. My earthly father said if a person had five people he could count as friends, he was lucky and doing well. That is about the case.  It occurs to me how fragile a situation of near alone-ness I am, and could be pushed into.  It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. And it has been a long long time, since I have written to you Blog.  Tonight following close upon another epiphanies I have decided to write down one that is a bit silly. But still holds a thought provoking depth.  Water has moved the world for millennia..or has moved man/woman_kind's world. The God in my heart directing my footsteps and words out of my mouth and in my heart and mind, and the god that is manifesting physical dysfunction and shortcomings and pursuit of mammon, money, power and domination.
