The media News world shows a picture of medicine and doctors and psychologists and happy families pursuing the Information Age ideal of culture neutral, ideological, and theological absent blonde/age 20-30something with non-handicapped natural born children. Not the real world, nor I hope, any world, though I know many of the millennial generation are pursuing this fantasy. It is a time now, just as the time was for Jesus, ripe for harvest. The evangelist message of Jesus is more true today, and the witness of Jesus more profound. Acts 10 New International Version (NIV) Cornelius Calls for Peter 10 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision.
