Two things Never to Talk about...Religion and Politics. So I will talk about Both.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has been laid to rest and her replacement is storming the gate before she is even in the ground. So let us consider the replacement. Amy Barrett.

Ms. Barrett has written extensively in journals and I have finished her recent Notre Dame Law Review - Originalism and Stare Decisis. It is essentially a review and endoresment of Justice Anthony Scalia.

The take away from it for today is Originalism, i.e. reading and applying the Constitution by it's text at the time the pertaining part was Ratified over and above Stare Decisis (precedent case decisions).  Ms Barrett holds that this is not objectionable in the view that few, if any, cases of "super precedents" will come to the Court and if they did by objectivity they would be decided with a view to consideration of historical events, current events, and practicality. It concludes with a warm and fuzzy glow of acceptance of Judge Anthony Scalia and his opinions.

However: Judge Scalia was quoted in this paper as being in favor of overturning Roe v Wade. The ruling we commoners understand as the basis of Women's Rights as it concerns their own bodies, exactly the same as the 13th Amendment is the basis for Afro-Americans' Rights as it concerns their own bodies. For reasons not disclosed in this paper Judge Scalia endorsed, and by support Ms. Barrett supports, over-turning this ruling on Constitutional grounds.    Her warm and fuzzy conclusions that "super-precedent" items do not reach the Court is undermined in her footnotes where it is written that Roe v Wade is NOT considered a "super-precedent" item.  As it is hotly contested by politicians. To me this reads that Ms Barrett is fully prepared to Over-Turn Women's Reproductive Rights if she reaches the Supreme Court.

I think the political side of this Women's Rights issue is self-evident. Every person is given by God the Right to govern the actions of their body.

I think the Religious side of this is summed up in a sermon I once heard about "The Arc of the Covenant."

Just like the Harrison Ford movie The Arc of the Covenant is the instrument of God that holds the very Word of God. The sermon is that  The Arc changed between the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the Old Testament the Arc was wood holding stone tablets, both made by man to God's instructions. Worshiped and Adored, and a Temple built around it for a House. In the New Testament the Arc, the vessel that contains the Word of God is the Virgin Mary! A LIVING Arc carrying a LIVING Word. And in all the lists of Generations from Adam down to Joseph the FINAL connection is the Woman who is Asked by the Holy Ghost if she will accept this. No MAN has any say or consequence in this ARC and COVENANT. We are given this by God's Grace. If God thought Mary worthy to decide yea or nay to be Mother of Jesus. Who is any man or woman to judge any Mary in the World if she should be the next "pierced through the heart."
