Big doin's this month June 2nd, 3rd,4th Ford Tri-Motor here in Bloomington for Chap650 EAA. FOOD~FUN~RIDES. This preceeded with a Young Eagles' weekend. June 24th,25th,26th Holland, Michigan ~ Sonerai Fly-In More FOOD,FUN,RIDES.

This weekend coming up my EAA Chapter will be comming around to look at the builders progress. With not much to show I will have to get busy this spring to make up for lost time.

So it is pointed out that to raise the rudder takes me further away from the plans drawing and design concept that John Monnett intended for this little airplane. The most direct courst to solve the *wash-out* of the rudder by the higher turtledeck is to correct the turtledeck back to the original hieght,or near to it so my big head fits. I went to Photoshop again to get an idea what it would look like.

Per my Techical Counsellor I need to raise my vertical stab. He suggested a rudder mod over my exisiting stab. It Seems the WWII United Kingdom Spitfire used this design. The red is existing vertical stab, the yellow is the rudder reformed, the orange is the new material added.

Last entry for 2010. Before the thinking gets too heavy and the rain starts to pour down I will say 2010 has been an extrordinary year. Good in many ways. Made a little cash here at the end, no deaths in the immediate family or friends, several weddings and births to the contrary. The little cash raised from Ebay will facilitate buying a few rivets to finish up my spars. With God's Grace I will get to Church more this year and sing more. God Bless all the visitors here. Ho Ho Ho......hello to everybody. If anyone has anything coming Fedex believe me it is on it's way. 14 days ~ worked 12 ~ 90+ hours ~ two major snows storms ~ two days subzero ~ two days 50 dgs+. It's all over every box is gone only the hospital shipments and the auto parts that wouldn't fit with the regular stuff. God Bless Merry Christmas to all. -Pete

One week ago today I was part of the crew to take Aluminum Overcast, the EAA B-17 Flying Fortress, down to Paducha Kentucky. Greatest thrill of my lifetime to date because I actually got to fly the airplane for 10 minutes. I can still hear and feel the rumble of the big engines today a week later.
